General Information

Conference Registration is $50 per participant and for those wanting to attend the conference. You will be notified when registration and housing opens. Optional ticketed events will be available for purchase during registration (tickets will not be sold on site).

NEW! 

Teams are encouraged to attend the pre-conference Student Mixer event 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 8, at PinStack, located at 635 North Expressway in Allen. TCMA will cover the cost of lane rentals. Participants are responsible for food and drinks. In addition to networking with fellow students, an Intercollegiate College Bowl briefing will be provided. At least one team member is required to attend.

TCMA has developed an educational session to interest and include students. One team member is required to attend this pre-conference session 3:00-5:00 p.m., Thursday, June 8 at the Conference location. All students are encouraged to attend. 

Additional Important Information

Student membership is mandatory to participate as a team member. A membership application is available here.

Students are responsible for transportation and housing. You will be notified when the conference room rates are available. We recommend you book quickly as a limited number of rooms are blocked for Conference attendees. Please note, hotel contracts impose deadlines to receive Conference rates. Teams may also consider an Airbnb.

A tabletop will be provided for the community service project and capstone or end-of-year project presentation. The tabletop should not be used for any other purpose. At least one member of your team should host the table through the duration of the contest (2 hours). We cannot force you to remain at your table but you may be penalized by the silent judges if the table is unmanned. Teams will be notified when the contest begins. The tables will remain up through Saturday morning.

Networking events
Three of the six competitions will be network based. These make up the core of the competition and are a great opportunity to expand your professional network and develop soft skills. Scorecards will be provided to participating teams and outline instructions. All scorecards will be due prior to the final event on Saturday.

Final Showdown
This event will occur on Saturday. The event includes the spirit competition, "Jeopardy," with the final top two teams competing in a "Family Feud" showdown. The champion will be crowned. The spirit competition will not factor into the final scoring.
