The City of Pasadena has formed a 15-member committee including TCMA members Terrell Blodgett and Barney Knight to review the city’s charter and focus on form of government and structure of the city council. The city is currently a strong mayor/council form of government, and the committee will determine if changes should be made to become a city manager form of government or a hybrid of the two. In addition, the committee will make recommendations on whether the current single-member council should remain or if at-large seats would benefit the citizens of Pasadena. The city anticipates that recommendations will make the May 2007 ballot. TCMA extends heartfelt sympathy to the family of Rodger Line, past city manager for the City of North Richland Hills.
