Management Transitions

Arnold Brown is no longer the city administrator for the City of Arcola. George Farland is the new city administrator for that city.

Dale Cheatham will leave his position as city manager for the City of The Colony, effective October 12.

Charles Comte is the city administrator for the City of Woodville.

Mary Daly is no longer the city manager for the City of Clyde. Dustin Hawk (current mayor) is the interim city manager for that city.

Eric Gage is the new city manager for the City of La Marque.

Marvin Gregory is the city administrator for the City of River Oaks.

Dean Hauser is no longer the city administrator for the City of Stratford. The new city administrator for that city is Duane Mungia.

Larry Lancaster is the city administrator for the City of Yorktown.

Scott Larese is no longer the city manager for the City of Nassau Bay.

Jose Lopez is no longer the city administrator for the City of Santa Rosa.

Rosemary Rosales-Lopez is no longer the interim city manager for the City of Mathis.

Murvat Musa is the city administrator for the City of Ransom Canyon.

Jeff Pynes is the city manager for the City of Freeport.

Chris Reed is no longer the city administrator for the City of League City. S. Marcus Jahns is the interim city administrator for that city.

Mike Rietz is no longer the city manager for the City of Castle Hills.

Benjamin Tanguma is no longer the city manager for the City of George West.

Jose “Pepe” Trevino is no longer the city manager for the City of Pearsall.

Chip VanSteenberg will resign as city administrator for the City of Shenandoah, effective August 8.

Meet Your Colleagues

The TCMA Management Messenger introduces and welcomes Jim Dunaway to his new position as the city manager for the City of Taylor. Jim’s appointment began March 2, 2009. Prior to his appointment, Jim served as the assistant city manager for three years. Jim has also served as the city manager for the cities of Jacksonville, Corsicana, and Elgin. Jim received his bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston State University and his master’s degree from the University of Texas at Tyler.

Jim and his wife Sandy have been married for 28 years and have one daughter, Whitney. Jim’s hobbies include golf and camping.
