FULL ASSOCIATE COOPERATING I COOPERATING III STUDENT/INTERN Melissa L. Gonzalez (former city administrator for the City of Cotulla) is the city administrator for the City of Somerset. Mark White is the interim city manager for the City of Kennedale. Albert Uresti is the interim city manager for the City of Ingleside. Ernest Clark is the interim city manager for the City of Paris. Gary Greer (Grand Island, NE) has been selected as the new city administrator for the City of Farmers Branch and will begin in March following the retirement of current city manager, Linda Groomer. Rick Lopez is the city administrator for the City of Orange Grove. Nathan Davis is the city manager for the City of Hale Center. Andrea Berry is the town administrator and town secretary for the Town of Lakewood Village. Karen Daly will no longer be the city manager of the City of Greenville beginning February 2. She will continue to work as a consultant for the city for one year. Kyle McCain is no longer the city manager for the City of Mexia. Roy Rice is the city manager for the City of Stamford. Gary Jackson will no longer be the city manager of the City of Baytown beginning March 2 and will begin his position as assistant city manager for the City of Deer Park. Ashley Judd is no longer the city administrator for the City of Alto. Tom Ginter is no longer the city manager for the City of Madisonville. The TCMA Management Messenger introduces and welcomes Paul Stevens to his new position as the city manager for the City of Waxahachie. Paul's appointment began January 1, 2007. Prior to his appointment, Paul served as the assistant city manager for seven years and became city manager upon Bob Sokoll's retirement. Paul also served as the city administrator for the City of Ovilla and has worked for the Cities of Burleson, Dallas, and Addison. Paul received both his bachelor's and master's degree from the University of North Texas. Paul and his wife Jennifer have been married 18 years and have two daughters, Sophie and Summer. His hobbies include gardening and mountain bike riding. Paul and Jennifer are both active with their kid's activities, which include dance, volleyball, and other sports. The TCMA Management Messenger congratulates Linda Groomer, city manager for the City of Farmers Branch, and Robert Sokoll, former city manager for the City of Waxahachie, for being recognized by the TCMA Board as Life Members. Tom Muehlenbeck, city manager for the City of Plano, has been named a National Public Service Award recipient by the American Society for Public Administration and the National Academy of Public Administration. Blaine Hinds, city manager for the City of Bonham, has announced his retirement to begin April 30. Blaine has worked in various cities throughout the United States for 39 years. Barbara Joseph, city manager for the City of Olmos Park, announced her retirement and will continue as a consultant until a replacement has been found. Brownfields are properties that may have redevelopment challenges because of the presence or potential presence of hazardous substances or pollutants. EPA's Brownfields Program provides funds to assess, clean up, and reuse such properties. The Railroad Commission will use the funds granted by EPA to help program applicants assess site contamination, plan for cleanup, and, in some limited cases, assist in or oversee cleanup that leads to redevelopment. Railroad Commission staff will also track the outcomes, benefits, and measures of the program. Additional information is available at http://www.rrc.state.tx.us/divisions/og/brownfield/index.html. The Charter Review Committee for the City of Pasadena has recommended that adoption of the council-manager form of government be placed on the ballot in May.
