TCMA Board Meeting
August 19, 2005

1. Minutes from meeting on June 9, 2005
Approved.
Minutes have been filed and posted on the TCMA Web site (www.tcma.org).

2. New Members
Approved nine new memberships.
New member packets will be mailed the week of August 29.

3. University Relations Task Force
Approved the creation of this task force and identified its mission.
Notice of this new task force and encouragement of volunteers will be added to the TCMA Web site and included in the next monthly newsletter.

4. Form of Government issues and a separate legal entity
Directed staff to research legal assistance to develop a separate legal entity that can assist with form of government issues.
To be researched as directed with results brought back to the TCMA Executive Committee for action.

5. TCMA-ICMA Partnership Agreement/Memorandum of Understanding
Directed staff to pursue updated partnership agreement or Memorandum of Understanding with ICMA to detail expectations of each organization.
To be implemented as approved.

6. FY 2005-06 TCMA and Texas Foundation for Local Government Budgets
Adopted the FY 2005-06 TCMA Budget and recommended adoption of the Foundation Budget.
To be implemented as approved.

7. TCMA Membership classifications
Directed the TCMA Nominating Committee to develop ballot language to change the TCMA Constitution to combine the Associate and Affiliate classifications and set the annual membership dues rate at $2.00 per thousand dollars of base salary.
To be implemented as approved.

8. TCMA Annual Conference Sponsorship Policy
Approved a revised TCMA Annual Conference Sponsorship Policy that incorporates the TCMA Hospitality Suite policy.
To be implemented as approved.

9. Petition by Craig Lonon to complete his term on the TCMA Board
Approved a petition by Craig Lonon to complete his term on the TCMA Board as Immediate Past President.
To be implemented as approved.

10. FY 2005-06 Texas Foundation for Local Government Budge
t Adopted the FY 2005-06 Foundation Budget.
To be implemented as approved.
