TCMA Board meeting

1. 11/12/04 Meeting Minutes
Approved.
Filed and posted on Web site ( www.tcma.org ).

2. New Members
Approved thirty-three new memberships.
New member packets to be mailed week of 4/11/05.

3. Nominating Committee
Canceled 2005 election for TCMA Board statewide positions and declared uncontested candidates elected.
Approved as recommended and notice will be posted on TCMA’s Web site.

4. Nominating Committee
Approved a petition to change the TCMA Constitution to allow Life and Distinguished members to endorse membership applications.
Will be submitted to the TCMA membership at the 6/11/05 TCMA Business meeting.

5. Financial Planning Task Force
Approved a recommendation to enter into a one-year pilot program with TCG Consulting to provide financial planning services options to interested TCMA members.
To be implemented as presented and will begin July 1, 2005 – June 30, 2006.

6. Membership Committee
Approved nominations for Ridley and CPM scholarships and approved TCMA Professional Awards as presented.
To be awarded at the 2005 TCMA Annual Conference in Galveston.

7. Membership Committee
Approved changes to the TCMA Code of Ethics Guidelines (tenets 3 & 11).
To be implemented as approved.

8. TCMA-ICMA partnership agreement
Authorized staff to begin negotiating with ICMA on updates to the TCMA-ICMA partnership agreement.
TCMA staff will begin discussions with ICMA staff to determine suggested changes approval.

9. TCMA support for 2006 ICMA Annual Conference
As a result of funds set aside for several years, the Board directed the staff to send a $25,000 check to the City of San Antonio Host City Committee to be used for the 2006 ICMA Annual Conference.
The funds will be available June 30, 2005.

10. Life membership qualification determination
The Board decided that TCMA membership criteria in place when a member is considered for Life membership will be used to determine eligibility.
To be implemented as approved.

11. Texas Foundation for Local Government Board
Approved Financial Statements as presented and reviewed approved TFLG-TML Services Agreement.
To be implemented as approved.
