SUMMARY OF ACTIONS – March 30, 2007, TCMA Board Meeting

1. Minutes from meeting on January 12, 2007
Approved.
Minutes will be filed and posted on the TCMA Web site (www.tcma.org).

2. New Members
Approved 133 new memberships.
New member packets will be mailed the week of April 9.

3. Form of Government letter of agreement with the University of North Texas
Approved letter of agreement not to exceed $5,000.
To be implemented as approved.

4. Clarence E. Ridley and Barney Knight/CPM scholarships
Approved TCMA Membership Committee recommendations
To be implemented as approved.

5. TCMA Professional Awards
Approved TCMA Membership Committee recommendations
To be implemented as approved.

6. New TCMA membership applicants
Approved publishing names and titles of those submitting applications for TCMA membership and allowing members to provide comments within 30 days to the Chair of the TCMA Membership Committee.
To be implemented as approved with notices placed in the TCMA newsletter and Web site.

7. TCMA Ethics Training cases
Approved a TCMA Ethics Committee recommendation to expel Israel Sagredo, former City Manager, Alton and bar him from future TCMA membership.
To be implemented as approved with notice in the TCMA Newsletter.

Approved a request for a hearing for another ethics case
The date of the hearing will be determined by the TCMA Board with consultation from outside legal counsel.

8. ICMA membership recruitment proposal
Denied request from ICMA to assist with a proposed ICMA membership recruitment program. The TCMA Board could reconsider after TCMA dues renewal process in October.
Notice will be sent to ICMA regarding the TCMA Board’s decision the week of April 2.

9. TCMA Financial reports
Accepted Balance sheets and Profit and Loss Statements ending February 28, 2007 as presented.
No other action is required.

10. TCMA City Management history book
Will consider including funding in next year’s budget.
Completed.
